The Challenge

Disasters such as fires, gas leaks, floods, and intrusions pose a significant threat to homes and businesses. Existing security systems often focus only on one or two threats, lacking a comprehensive approach. The goal was to create an intelligent disaster detection system that can monitor multiple threats in real-time and provide automated alerts to ensure safety.

The Solution

The system uses a combination of gas sensors, smoke detectors, temperature sensors, and motion detectors to detect environmental anomalies.

  • IoT Integration allows remote access via an online dashboard.
  • Real-time monitoring ensures immediate detection of hazards.
  • Automated alert system notifies emergency services when a critical situation is detected.
  • Customizable notifications enable users to receive alerts via SMS, email, or mobile app.

The Result

The project successfully demonstrated an early-warning security system capable of detecting multiple threats simultaneously. It was showcased at a TÜBİTAK science competition, gaining recognition for its innovation. Future improvements include AI-based anomaly detection and integration with smart home devices to enhance automation.
